Introduction

 

This course provides an overview of the activities and associated safety requirements required on the ramp and during the aircraft turnaround phase. The course covers the safety basics, the role of regulators and industry bodies, as well as understanding who the key players are and the main activities involved in an aircraft turnaround.

Participants will gain insight and understanding of the processes, procedures and systems in place to ensure safety and continual improvement of aircraft and ramp operations. An interactive and practical-based course, this training covers key topics such as planning, safe working practices, PPE, safety reporting and investigation, human factors, performance monitoring and quality management.

Ideal for those working in airfield management, compliance, or aerodrome auditing - this course gives an overview of aerodrome operations, how it works, who is involved, and how to drive high performance and safety culture.

The duration of this course is 3 days.
 

1. Why is it important?

Aircraft turnaround is a set of finely tuned and coordinated processes brought together to achieve a safe and on-time departure with satisfied customers. However, working within a complex and potentially dangerous environment together with compliance to industry and regulatory requirements can be very challenging.

Those in evolved managing, supervising and coordinating ground operations activities such as team managers, Supervisors (Airlines & GSP). Airfield Management and Compliance teams, Auditors and Aerodrome Inspectors working for regulatory authorities will also benefit from attendance at this course.
