Aircraft Deicing Management Training Course

A training course for management and supervisory teams that takes a holistic view of the requirements of the De/Anti-Icing process

Introduction

Aircraft Ground Deicing can be a complex subject for those required to supervise or manage it. The Deicing Management training course is essentially a Deicing course for ‘non-sprayers’ and attempts to remove the 'enigma' by combining the key need-to-know technical elements with the critical management disciplines required to run a successful operation.

During the course, we look at the regulations, SAE International requirements and industry best practice, clean aircraft concept and fluid management before turning our attention to Safety Management Systems (SMS) and their component parts such as risk assessment, occurrence reporting and training requirements with a focus on Deicing.

We finish the course by looking at the importance of Quality Assurance and Quality Control to the deicing process, the nuances of the DAQCP audit and how to prepare for it.

The course is very interactive and includes group exercises and group discussions. For that reason, we find it best to run the course in person (as opposed to remotely).

The duration of this course is two days.

For front line staff who actually undertake the Deicing process, we would suggest looking instead at our:
