Introduction

Auditing within the fast moving world of ground operations and ground handling environments can be challenge at the best of times. Understanding the complex and wide ranging rules, standards, best practice and regulations applicable to this area of operations is essential for anyone who needs to audit this area.

This entry-level training course is aimed at those without experience who would like to work as auditors within the airside ramp environment. The course guides participants through the basic principles and disciplines of auditing and quality systems and principles before going on to look at  overviews of ICAO, IATA, SAE International industry standards and applicable regulations and regulatory frameworks.

The course material is highly interactive with ground operations based group exercises, discussions, role plays and working with an authentic set of standards that will equip staff with the basic skills that they need to prepare and execute effective audits.

The duration of this course is 4 days.

  • 1. Why is it important?

    Within this highly regulated and standardised environment, the ability to be able to measure the conformance and/or compliance is a vital and required element of any ground operation. The auditing function, as part of a company Quality Assurance programme, is key to understanding how processes and procedures are actually deployed within the operation and allow the organisation to identify and correct any poorly performing areas.

    This course is suited to those new to auditing who wish to obtain a basic auditing qualifications. The course is focussed on ground operations and ground handling and would ideally suit those working within or close to that environment.
