Sensus Aero: Virtual Reality Deicing Training - its the real thing

Spent a great couple of days earlier this week in Vilnius, Lithuania with Sensus Aero in the company of Marius Venclova and Konradas Dulka looking at their superb Sensus VR product for De/Anti-Icing.

In the De/Anti-Icing training world we always have the issue of bridging the gap between the theory and the reality, particularly for new staff, in fact its quite understated. Personally I think this can be a significant issue.

In many ways, the traditional approach is quite low tech; we deliver theory and practical training after which there could be significant gap of weeks, even months, in which time staff, no matter how well trained, can experience skill fade and confidence loss.

Used in a similar way to simulators, this product is a fully immersive experience, really bringing to life the realities of the De/Anti-Icing process in a way I've not previously experienced; its easy to use, the graphics are a real step up and you see and hear what you expect to. Incredibly, I even felt the real sensation of being at height as I raised the boom or climbed steps.

The Sensus VR product is an excellent tool to remove the anxiety and prepare new staff and hone the skills of experienced staff all within the safety of a classroom based, VR environment. It’s definitely not a game, it really is the real deal.

Other ground handling related products are in development, making this package a potential must have for Ground and Deicing Services Providers.
