Miles Aviation Consultancy working, once again, with Up & Away Aviation Services

We started this week at London-Oxford Airport delivering our brand new course, Aircraft Deicing Management Training, to the management team of Up & Away Aviation Services. Although this Monday was officially 'Blue Monday', there was no evidence of that here with the team energised and focussed on the subject at hand.

Deicing Management is a 2 day training course and the newest in our portfolio go ground operations and ground handling training courses. The course is aimed at airline operators, ground handling service providers (GHSP’s) and other aviation organisation and provides management and supervisory teams with the 'need to know' knowledge of the requirements of running a successful Deicing operation. 

The course starts by looking at the high level technical process before focussing on safety management including an SMS overview covering SMS fundamentals, implementation, just culture, risk assessment, documentation, quality control and quality assurance. 

As a fully interactive experience the course often generates that much needed conversation, discussion and debate within the team and aims to bridge a gap by benchmarking, existing against future operations. 

We can also extend the course by adding a workshop element to enable the teams to really get down to that low level of detail and create a detailed action plan.
